Hi, I really enjoyed reading and listening to your post. We all have our favorites and yes, some go back to our early teens. I was turned on to guitar by the Beatles and all that great British invasion sound of the 60′s. Some of my favorites beyond the Beatles we’re; The Kinks, Something Better Beginning, The Knickerbockers, Lies, and many other melodic tunes that just hooked me. More recently, I heard probably the last song that Jerry Rafferty recorded, The Way it Always Starts. It’s just beautifully haunting. I heard it and loved it without knowing who was singing it. When I was told it was Rafferty, it made it even more special.
