New Feature! Song of the Month

Author: In order to build on the “community” aspect of this blog, I’m starting a new feature called Song of the Month. You can send me your mp3 file (actually, it can be any kind of audio file) via this button:
…and at the end of the month, I will feature on this blog what I think is the best song with a little bit of a critique. You can send me up to three entries for the month, but only three! The song must be original and you must own all of the rights. If you are chosen, I will ask for a short bio and image and I will link to your website as well.
I will only give a short critique to the winner, so please don’t ask for a critique otherwise. You do not have to be a member of SoundCloud to submit your track, just click on the above button which will also remain permanently on the right-hand side of this blog, and follow the easy instructions to submit.
I will keep all songs submitted until a winner is announced, and then they will be deleted from the SoundCloud database, so don’t worry about your song ending up somewhere else on the web without your knowledge!
The first ever contest will close May 14, 2010.
So…send me your song, and GOOD LUCK!!

A couple of notes to those of you sending in your songs…please also include a copy of the lyrics either in an email or as part of the DropBox submission. Also, you can send a song from MySpace or SoundClick as well as your computer.

Hey buddy! How are you Irene?
Got an email from the site today.. This is a great thing you are doing..
I have been collaborating and can’t send anything that is not solely mine I know you understand but, can I send older stuff I have done and ….this will motivate me to write my own new stuff too…Great exercise.
